Mini-Rays Practice 1-2 hours per week
Son-Rays Practice 3 hours per week
This is the first phase of women's team gymnastics at Sonshine. These classes are composed of children who have been invited from the recreational classes. This program will focus on building necessary qualities for team gymnastics: strength, flexibility, skill, discipline, enthusiasm and courage.
Top-Guns Practice 1 hour per week
Diamond-Backs Practice 1 1/2 hours per week
Son-Blazers Practice 4 hours per week
Boys invited in these groups are trained in the gym on all six apparatus in a progressing format; such as the vault, parallel bars, floor exercise, rings, pommel horse, high bar and mushroom. The emphasis is on developing arm strength, flexibility, coordination, balance and gross-motor skills; so that the boys are disciplined to participate in a team setting that is age appropriate and skill appropriate for them. Our main goal is to build confidence and self-esteem in a strong learning environment
