CLASSES & SCHEDULE

Sonshine Gymnastics offers classes for a variety of ages and levels of gymnastics, tumbling, and cheerleading.

Tiny Beamers - ages 18m - 3yrs (boys & girls)
Parents & tots work together as a team with Sonshine Instructors in this 45-minute class. Students will be introduced to all gymnastic apparatus through obstacle courses, stations, and games. The goal for Instructors is to help build body/space awareness, social skills, and self-esteem in a fun, high-energy setting.

Little Beamers - age 3 yrs. (boys & girls)
These young preschoolers will have fun working on all gymnastic apparatus for 50 minutes. Our energetic instructors teach using music, games and challenging obstacle courses. These fun-filled classes are designed to assist in building their coordination, confidence, and self-esteem!

Mighty Beamers - ages 4 - 5 yrs (boys & girls)
Sonshine Gymnastic Pre-Kindergarten classes start with a fun warm-up, emphasizing body positions, focusing and safety drills. After warm-up the students will progress through obstacle courses and stations, working on different gymnastic equipment. The instructor's goals, in this 60-minute class, are to build motor skills, strength, coordination, and self-esteem in a fun safe environment, while learning basic to intermediate gymnastic skills.

Recreational Classes - Kindergarten & up
Our 60-minute Gymnastics and Tumbling classes are offered at a variety of days and times during the week. All recreational classes start with a fun themed warm-up focusing on different strength and flexibility elements. After warm-up, the students separate into their appropriate age and level classes. Class levels progress from class level 1, safety drills and basic beginner skills, through class level 4, advanced skills and pre-team training.

Sonshine Gymnastics offers classes for a variety of ages & levels of gymnastics and tumbling.

~         Sessions I - VI will have eight weeks of classes.

~         Recreational gymnastics makeup classes are offered every Saturday of each session at 11 am. Tumbling make-up classes are offered the third Saturday of each month at 12 noon. Please sign up at the front desk to reserve a spot.

~         New students can start at any time during a session, with remaining classes prorated. Discounts are available for families enrolling more than one child or additional classes.

Tuition

~         Tiny Beamers (18 months - 3 years) $108 for eight weeks. Class meets for one weekly 45-minute session.

~         Little Beamers (age 3 years) $115 for eight weeks. Class meets for one weekly 50-minute session.

~         Mighty Beamers, Girls & Boys Recreational Classes (4-18, boys and girls) $123 for eight weeks. Class meets for one weekly one-hour session.

Girls & Boys Specialty Groups
Sonshine Gymnastics currently has an advanced recreational program.  Once students graduate from recreational classes they may be invited into one of our specialty groups.  This program will help their skills grow, and challenge their physical and mental abilities.  Most of all they can nurture their love for this SPORT!

The girls' program is designed to give gymnasts the opportunity to experience gymnastics competitions without the hourly commitment as USAG gymnasts.  They will travel to local competitions, wear a competitive leotard, and have the chance to win medals, ribbons, and trophies.  They will also work on specific skills and routines for exhibitions in the area.

Boys invited into these groups are trained in the gym on all six apparatus in a progressing format; such as the vault, parallel bars, floor exercise, rings, pommel horse, high bar, and mushroom.  The emphasis is on developing arm strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, and gross-motor skills so that the boys are disciplined to participate in a setting that is age appropriate and skill appropriate for them.
